The citizens spoke with their vote. We didn't want it then and we DON"T want it now!

 

In 2012 the first charter was named 'Citizens for Costa Mesa City Charter' and given the title Measure V on the ballot. The votes were counted and 60% of Costa Mesan's said NO CHARTER!

 

Regardless of what Costa Mesan's desire Righeimer pushes full steam ahead with the Tea Party agenda.

 

Once again we Costa Mesan's are faced with this blatant power grab by the council of three. The committee chosen to 'create' this charter were hand selected by the council majority to do their bidding.

In fact, the committee was instructed not to decide whether or not citizens wanted a charter, but only to craft a charter.

 

The first charter committee name given was 'Citizens for Costa Mesa City Charter'. It was given the title Measure V on the ballot. The recent charter measure was deceptively named 'Home Rule for Costa Mesa'. They both share the same PAC identification number

#1347394. The remaining balance of money left over from from the last failed charter attempt was forwarded to the account of this supposedly new charter.

 

So, who was/is behind these charters you ask??? I will tell you but first must preface with these quotes, "Knowledge is King", and "Seek and Ye Shall Find".

Colin McCarthy-planning commissioner, helped to fund this political action committee(PAC) with another of his PAC's deceptively named Costa Mesa Taxpayer's, as if we all aren't taxpayers...

 

 

Colin McCarthy's wife Kerry McCarthy is listed as principal officer for the 'Home Rule' charter.

 

I could go on listing the many unscrupulous developers that want a piece of Costa Mesa. They profit at our expense!

 

The money that is feeding this monster is coming from a group of Republican Tea Party extremists with ties to the development industry.
